Straaltechniek UK Ltd enjoy busy start to 2022 with influx of shot blasting & shot peening equipment orders

Straaltechniek UK Ltd offer many services into the surface preparation industry including manufacture and supply of equipment, new or 2nd hand refurbished, aftermarket spares, and equipment modernisation (including their High Performance Long Life GN blast Wheel) as well as maintenance support through service contracts and breakdown cover. With their office, workshop and showroom based in the Steel City of Sheffield, Straaltechniek UK Ltd are proud to be a member of Made in Sheffield, one of the Worlds great brands and have started 2022 as they finished 2021 with an influx of orders for various types of shot blasting & shot peening equipment, which includes both ‘new’ and ‘refurbished’ machines.

With a good customer base throughout the UK and overseas, Straaltechniek UK Ltd have been able to generate a healthy number of enquiries for equipment by having the capability to offer both ‘New’ and ‘Refurbished’ Machines. Whilst their day to day servicing and spares business goes from strength to strength, they have been able to capitalise on opportunities to assist their customers based on requirements such as refurbishing and upgrading their customers’ existing equipment, supply refurbished equipment from stock, and build new equipment from their factory.

Each Machine order being worked on in their factory is allocated a work zone and assigned engineer/s who are provided with a full scope of supply per machine, to ensure there is complete understanding and clear instruction for what the customer requires.

Many of these machines are being upgraded as part of their ‘EMP’ (Equipment Modernisation Programme), which is just 1 out of a list of services offered as part of Straaltechniek UK’s impressive portfolio. ‘EMP’ can be anything from upgrading machines with their High Performance Long Life GN Blast Wheel’s, to ATEX Filters, to name a few.

James Lees, UK Sales Manager at Straaltechniek UK Ltd said “The recent success rate of equipment orders won is not down to pure luck, it is down to the hard work of all the staff here, from generating the enquiries and providing detailed quotations, to the installation of the finished machines, and everything in between with customer service provided by hard working and friendly staff and also the professional workmanship in the factory. Truly a great team effort from which we are reaping the rewards by filling up our order book and keeping our valued customers happy which is very important to us all”

Nick Redwood, Production Manager at Straaltechniek UK Ltd added “Since coming back after the Christmas break we have been inundated from our sales team with sales orders from our large customer base for both machine spares and also complete refurb/upgrade of shot blasting machines, thus so I have had to increase man power for the shopfloor to control the high demand that is now upon my production/engineering department while also keep improving shopfloor skills with the ability to adapt to operate effectively and efficiently to our fast paced production department but not losing the quality control that we always pride ourselves with here at Straaltechniek UK”
