Straaltechniek UK is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of shot blasting equipment, spare parts, servicing and refurbishment solutions. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Service Engineer to join our nationwide service team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a wide variety of industrial shot blasting equipment across multiple manufacturing sectors, with ongoing training and development opportunities.

The Role

As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing shot blasting equipment at customer sites throughout the UK. You will represent Straaltechniek professionally while delivering a high standard of customer service.

Typical duties include:

  • Planned preventative maintenance and routine servicing.
  • Fault finding and breakdown repairs on customer sites.
  • Mechanical fitting, maintenance and component replacement.
  • Inspection and reporting on machine condition.
  • Completing service reports and documentation accurately.
  • Working safely and following company health and safety procedures.

 

About You

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Previous experience as a Service Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Maintenance Engineer or similar.
  • Strong mechanical engineering skills
  • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
  • The ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • A willingness to travel throughout the UK and occasionally stay away overnight when required.
  • Welding qualifications advantageous
